1 stick of pc 2700 ddr sdram. It's a 1 gig stick. Worked last time I used it. Pulled because it was replaced with a 2 gig stick.

Is this stick non ecc ? what kind of computer did it come from I have dell and will only use non ecc.

Umm, not sure. I'm not really computer savy. i knew what type of ram i needed, so that's what i bought and installed. i don't know what ecc means. let me know what it means, and i'll find out for you. it came out of a HP

ecc stands for error correction code it is a certain type of ram most motherboards can use either one but some like dell computers can only use non ecc if you put the wrong one in the computer will not boot up. if you look up the specs on your computer it should say non ecc if that's what yours needs otherwise it just wont mention it--also it may be on the label on the ram. yours being hp it might be either one

ok, ty for the clarification. it doesn't say ecc on label. and the computer it came from is long since gone, so i don't know that it's in the computer's spec's. though i did buy ram for that computer, and don't remember needing to specify ecc or not.
