This is a Go Gear MP3 player and its stuck on Locked mode. I got this from another listian who said it worked. Obviously its not....soooo. This is all I know of it. Shipping is free!

No, the little slider works fine, it wont register that its in the unlock position electronically. It came to me that way.

the internal micro switch is probably broken. means taking it apart and fixing it, assuming you cna find a replacement microswitch

The selection wheel doesn't work either, so it wont switch from music to radio to....you get it? Is that the micro switch as well?

could be, if the firmware locks the system down if the swich is in locked position then yes, if not, then it could be something else. Chances are extremely high that the unit locks all software changes / mode selections if it's set to lock.

you should go through the manufacturer, if out of warrantee, any electronics repair shop could possibly fix it, or you could ask a local university / high school / trade school if they could fix it as part of a class curriculum.
