Description

The listing, BIG lot of fun fur yarn partials READ before bidding has ended.

Please do not flag this; I can't imagine why it was flagged. It's partial skeins, but they are unused. Both I and others have purchased partial skeins of yarn. I was upfront and honest. These are great for small projects or trips on both knitting and other crafts that I just don't do myself. It's all I can pack into a small flat rate priority box.Lots more colors than you can see at the top of the box.
As always US shipping is free. I appreciate every bid and most swappers here are great. I’ve hit a real rash of problems lately, though, at least one a week and it’s getting expensive. From now on, I do have terms that won’t affect the super buyers whatsoever and hopefully end the problems. All sales are final , no returns until I physically have the item back in my hands (buyer shipping), A tracking or confirmation # is NOT included in my free shipping. They cost $.80 so D.C must be paid with Paypal by the buyer. If you don't get something you can't claim you didn’t without C/D# check. Any postage due claims must have the envelope front mailed to me. Finally, I will not shorten any action or ship outside the USA please don't ask. I ship every few days, but probably will have to go to once a week soon. If you agree to my terms please bid; if not, please don’t. Thanks

Wow...great idea. Next year I'll save my partials for that. Unless I find enough more this year. And I don't crochet well, but I think I can manage that. (If I can find my crochet hooks, of course.)

I am doing a prayers shawl and using fun fur instead of fringe at the ends. Scraps are good for trims; I just don't need as many trims as I have partials. These would be super on anything for a baby;; so soft.

Thanks. I love it, too, as you probably guessed from all the different partials. LOL

that's all the credits i feel like tying up at the moment. i will be back to bid again Wednesday though. :) now i am off to check out ZebraBoy19's site. i love to see what other people craft! i get stuck on etsy for hours and trapped for days in all the links that oneprettything and the crafty crow (kids crafts!) provide. i have thought the same thing as darkhunterfan before too. sometimes really good listings get flagged and it seems like there would be no other reason than to try to extend the auction.

had to chuckle that I'm not the only one who inches my way up on bidding, Ir spends hours looking at craft sites.
Thanks for the bid!

By the way, I'm ADDING a few more partials of fun fur as I either create them or find things I missed. Will keep doing until I seal the box.

Good luck in building them. If this builds a little more, I will list another partials box; probably some fun and fancy fur and some "general" yarn. Plus I have a couple of yarn lots I need to list eventually. Go a bit more slowly listing these because of postage. By the way, I really enjoyed your site.. Good work!

"if this builds alittle more." I laughed when I read that because the last time I seen the auction it was 606. Now it is sitting at 1000. HOLY COW! Thank you for the comment on my site. I really appreciate it. It is so nice to hear someone elses opinion about the stuff I have made beside my family. It is just a shame that none of it is or has sold. :( I have even offered incentives to customers but that still dont work. I am doing better selling things on Ebay unrelated to my knitting. Oh well when it really gets cold they will be coming to me for my double layered knit winter hats to keep their heads warm. lol

I really wanted to bid but by the time I came back the bids were already too high LOL. I make scarves and such for the neighbor girls as well as my daughter. They seem to love fun fur. I was a little intimidated when I first started knitting with it, but now I like it. I usually use larger needles as well. I am still doing easy patterns and have been knitting almost a year. I taught myself for my birthday last year :) I am still struggling with purl stitches for some reason. Anyway, sorry for the chapter in my life story LOL. Great auction! I hope you put more up like this. :) (OH, also, I love the site zebraboy!)

I think it's hard to make a small website known, Zebraboy Give it time. Make sure you include business or other cards when you mail eBay wins. Here, we all knit or crochet so aren't in the market for hats. Those "unrelated" sales might draw a few to start. And sorry you are missing out, too, anonymous76. I will have another lot up before too long...partially fun and fancy fur, like I said.

Yes, it is! Thank you all for indicating definite interest in yarn. I have a lot to turn loose from. To make room...probably for more yarn? LOL

I hope I do get bids enough to make yarn worth shipping. I don't like the hassle (or difficulty getting bids) when you ask for shipping. So things do have to go high enough to cover the extra on heavier/bulkier items. But I have a lot of different yarns I'd like to swap; many full skein lots. Needless to say I mostly look for shipping free items, too, and don't mind bidding extra for items.

I find it's much easier to use with very large needles. When it first came out I thought it would look great for Babie doll clothes. Probably it would, but not made by me. I could not work with it on small needles! And I used tiny for Barbies. When I first found the chemo cap pattern, I almost didn't try it, but read the needle size and thought I'd try. Took a bit of getting used to because it handles a bit differently, but on the big needles (13's) it works great. Works with somewhat smaller needles, too; I've done a few other projects with it, but...

weird. I wonder why that happened? These are pretty. Fun fur is tough to work with, but there are some things it looks cute in. particularly for kids. :)

I will check out your site and I'm glad you shared it. I doubt anyone will complain; it didn't come across as advertising. When guys do crafts, they usually do them well, by the way--or quit doing them. Some women do them just to pass time, I think. Which doesn't matter in the least, of course, and something useful to them or their families who do get use from them.

The patterns are a scarf (skill level easy), Shawl (skill level easy), Purse (skill level easy), and wine cozy (skill level easy). I had bought some fuzzy orange yarn and the book came with it. I wanted the fuzzy orange yarn to mix with redheart's color Pumpkin to make some home decoration pumpkins for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I have made so many different things from toys, beautiful shrugs, shawls, home decor, and thick very warm winter hats. I have a store online if you would like to check it out. (ZBKnits.ecrater.com) No I am not advertising on your message board I just thought you might be interested in seeing some of the things I (a guy) has made. :) I do offer cool things as well. Right now I have a $10 Kmart gift card give-away going on. You can check that all out on my site.

I am going to try to win this auction from you. :)

What are the knitting patterns? I might be interested myself, but would want for points. Feel free to copy/paste in my disclamer or use it as a pattern for your own; I got the general idea here, too. Started by nearly copying--with permission--and then changing until very little except the opening sentence is the same. The general thoughts are.I've not had problems, since...well I need to add a line about only keeping winner items X days If you list it, use the hobby/craft category. Be easier for crafters to find. Things tend to get lost in books, even with the different categories. That is, unless they have a hobby/craft category; I don't remember which except fiction and nonfiction.

I almost just quit listing, too, but decided this was worth a try.

Glad to see this still going strong. Sorry to hear about someone flagging this. I used to list things on here and got into a bad bunch of bidders/buyers so I stopped listing things on here. I have a hard cover book that would go perfect with this auction. It has four knitting patterns using fun furs. Maybe the winner could contact me if they are interested in it.

I think maybe sometimes people flag because they really might want to win it so much but don't have a way of getting the credits they would need by auction end so they flag it to get more time figuring the seller will most likely put it right back up the next day or whatever. That's just my theory. =oD It just always seems to happen and when a few others have verbalized/commented on their interest in winning.

I did even have a bid on it; not sure if that person has bid back in or not. If it gets flagged again, I will appeal. I can't understand why a moderator followed through on the first flag either. It's real product and I know yarn doesn't violate any Listia rules. Have bought it here myself. I'm only listing free shipping items, even pricier ones like this. Although in a way, this is a test. If it goes for low points, I just won't list yarn. (I wish more people did list yarn, especially this fun fur. On this I only need full skein, but some yarns I can use partial skeins, too.
