This would be for a kid who wants to pretend he wears glasses, can you really tell a difference in strength? I do not want to mess up his eyes, just let him pretend.

Yes maam there is a difference in the strength. I would 't recommend putting them on a child. You could always take the lenses out. My grandson loves his sunglasses. Maybe you could try that. He sounds like a cutie. Have fun day!
