This is a First Day of Issue Cover stamp along with a replica of the same stamp Plated in 22kt Gold. The stamp is the 29 cent Whooping Crane stamp released October 9th, 1994 for the Endangered Birds collection. These were produced by the Postal Commemorative Society (PCS) for stamp collectors. It is also a great collectible for bird watchers.
The Cover is unaddressed and also comes with the information card. The replica stamp measures 1"x1-1/2" and is plated in real 22kt gold. From what I understand, the value of these is in the collecting of the different stamps, not the gold. These originally only sold for about $7 so there can't be much gold in them. They make pretty gifts though if you know someone interested in this kind of thing! It is in very nice condition. I have 2 different ones listed also. Thanks and Good luck!
