I was trying to make a box of value but when I weighed it, it was over 2 lbs. Let me know what you think would be good to put together and I will split it up when I relist. I did a box that was under 13 ounces and that is when I only managed to get the 2 dragonfly rattles in the box before it weighed too much.

I meant go half on the shipping. I'd leave the big box, it's cool to get all those toys. Did you try 1st class instead of Priority? 1st class now offers tracking at no extra charge. That might bring the cost down. Thanks

First class is only up to 13 ounces which is the weight of the 2 dragonfly auction. This box is just over 2 lbs so I calculated based on Parcel Select (what used to be called Parcel Post) because that is the cheapest. Bids never get high enough to pay for the shipping. If something stays on listia long enough, I just donate it. I offered free shipping on a new with tags Gymboree bodysuit (it was given to me for free) in the hopes of getting 25 watchers. Did not get the watchers and the bodysuit went for just over 2000 points which is the equivalent of $2. It cost me $3 to ship it. If I had donated the bodysuit, the value of it new is $8 and I would have been able to write it off on my taxes which would give me about $2 at the end of the year.

You are correct, postage is the worst! I thought maybe it would be cheaper some other way, but I see you did all your homework on this. If only there was a way to get rid of the shipping costs. Thanks

Now I am thinking about ending all of the baby toy auctions and seeing how much of the stuff I can put in a Priority Flat Rate box which is still super expensive. Personally I don't like the large lots because then I pay for shipping on some stuff that I don't want.
