huh... it had never crossed my mind to use dawn with bleach, but now I know NOT to. I should remember to tell this information to my husband. He is the main bleach user in the house (he uses it more than I think is necessary -- thank goodness for windows on each end of our apartment!).
Yes, pass along any of the tips. Worth trying the simple stuff, then paying too much for chemicals that take your breathe away and need the window open.
My sister used Shout on her and her husband clothes for awhile. LOL -- she had a different idea of what their slogan could be! I'm not sure what she uses now, but I will keep Dawn in mind to pass along.
Tell her, so she can make up her own mind. Also, NEVER add Dawn to Bleach, the reaction will take your breathe away and give you a huge headache. I tried it, big mistake, now it is posted to each bottle.
Very neat to know. I was told to use a bar of ivory soap, but it took so much "elbow grease" to work that into the material than so long to get it rinsed out to finally wash it!! i just quit trying and figured that I could live with the stains -- LOL. Your tip is MUCH better though =)
Thank you. It really works, saved me tons of money, when I worked as cook, always getting grease and oil on white uniforms which needed to be white at all times. Grease and oil tends to make whites dull and grey looking. Boss thought I was buying new uniforms weekly. Also used it to remove motor oil from carpet, it took like forever, but saved the carpet.
