WOW! Good for you! I've sewn quite a few things(crafty & quilts) but I'm not good enough to NOT have directions. And with fabric as pricey as it is sometimes I don't want to screw it up!

That's true. If I would screw it up I would use the scraps for scrap quilts. I have never done a piece quilt. I like using the scraps, no quilt looks the same.

I love scrappy quilts...I've done 3-4 and yes they all look different. You should try one---If you can sew a wedding dress you can most certatainly make a quilt!

Personally---I like putting together the tops and wish I had someone else who wanted to do the rest! I have a machine that I can do free motion quilting and I'm getting better at it so I don't hate it like I used to but my favorite part is picking out the fabrics and putting the tops together.
