Up for auction is a set of 3 old American coins:

1863 Indian Head Cent (copper nickel)
1899 Liberty Head V Nickel (copper nickel)
1898 Barber Dime (90% silver, 10% copper)

The 1863 Indian Head is in VERY GOOD condition: The T in LIBERTY is clear across the Indian's headband, and the R is "pressed flat" but slightly visible. These are the only discernible letters in LIBERTY. The rims are very good with a few tiny dings, with no rim bleeds, all legends are clear, and the reverse maintains a lot of detail. It has been well preserved.

The 1899 is in solidly GOOD+ condition: no letters in LIBERTY are clearly visible, but a couple are trying to pop through, but the small amount of staining in that area makes them difficult to read. The rims are quite excellent for a coin with this grade, and there are no rim bleeds into the legends. The coin obviously had a good strike to have this much wear without being worn flat, like so many V nickels. The legends are all there, with the exception of the S in PLURIBUS and UNUM is weak on the reverse. This coin has more pizazz than most V nickels you will see that are graded as good.

The 1898 Barber dime is in solid GOOD condition, since no letters in LIBERTY appear in the headband. The coin is not worn thin and flat like so many Barber dimes. The legends are intact and there are no rim bleeds, but there are some noticeable rim dings between 9:00 and 11:00 on the obverse (see picture 6), and there are 3 separate lesser rim dings on the reverse (compared to the obverse) at 9:00, 11:00, and 1:00 which you can see in picture 7.
