Brief history:
Bataan and Corregidor were the main military defenses of the USA in the Philippines during WWII headed by Gen Jonathan Wainwright under Gen Douglas MacArthur.
In 1942, when the Japanese enter the Philippine peninsula, they attack this defenses and were fallen, signaling the surrender of American and Filipino soldiers and later suffered the "Death March".
Gen Wainwright famous quote "Bataan has Fallen!"
Gen MacArthur "I shall return."
