Scatter, very light layer of soil, water and then leave alone. Where are you located? That might be the reason for the lack of success.

No, they love heat and full sun. Nothing smells more beautiful in the dead heat of summer than those blooms! Ours self-seed every year. But we are also 100 percent all organic.

If you use lawn chemicals, please do not bid on these seeds. Milkweed attracts butterflies and lawn chemicals kill butterflies. I don't think milkweed does well with lawn chemicals either.
