Yes, .5 fl. oz. (½ oz.) is full size for eye creams. I've been selling cosmetics and beauty items (including skin care products) for years. Eye cream is almost always ½ oz. (half the size of a full-size bottle of foundation), because it only takes literally a dab - less than a dime size amount - to apply (and usually, that's to BOTH eyes, too! :) If eye cream were to be in a larger size, it would likely go bad before you used it all. Soo...essentially, the person that decided that ½ oz was sufficient was very intelligent with their decision-making skills, because expiration of skin care products is even more important than the expiration of your cosmetics - even moreso, because skin care is meant to actually absorb in*to* the skin. Whereas, cosmetics are "generally" meant to only lay atop the skin. (This is just one of the many reasons you should wear moisturizer before applying your foundation, too! It creates a barrier between the skin and the cosmetic, so it doesn't clog pores, create break-outs, etc.)

OH! And a full size bottle of eye cream, such as this, generally (and should) last you anywhere from 3 months (MINIMUM) to 6 months (I don't recommend keeping eye creams much longer than 6 months if you use them regularly and/or the seal is broken on the product, making it an "open" product) :)
