This is a cute book to read to children. The bears decide they are going to have a yard sale and they begin to clean out their house. They find many different things that remind them of the past and toys that they used to play with. The end up not wanting to have the yard sale because they do not want to sell any of their memories. This is a good book for young children to read.


This book is a great example of Fantasy because the main characters are bears who talk and go to school, and we know that this does not happen in real life. The story has a great lesson behind it. The plot is set up in a simple beginning, middle and end sequence. At the beginning of the story, sister bear comes home beat up by a bully. In the middle, Mama and Papa bear talk with sister and try to think of what to do next, while brother bear goes to find the bull to take revenge himself. He finds out that it is a girl and decides not to hit her. He instead teaches sister how to defend herself. The end of the story comes as Tuffy (the bully) picks a fight and sister defends herself. The two get sent to the office and Tuffy gets punished. The illustrations in the story are great. The media used in the book is watercolor, paint and pencil.
