Okay just so everyone knows that doesn't know about these this is a GHD. That is one of the best straightening irons you can buy. I am a Cosmetologist and have seen my share. I use to have a GHD but the wiring went bad 2 times. First I had it replaced and than I replaced it with a Sultra. GHD stands behind their products though and they will replace the items if they are faulty. I had a professional GHD. Generally these don't have issues. If you want an iron that works amazingly and is the best you found it here. I don't know what she paid for this but I know when I bought a GHD it ran me about $150 maybe a little more. And that was wholesale. If I were to resale it it was suggested that I sell it at $250. Ummm so this is an amazing item. Also when you get this if it is registered online to the previous owner be sure to get that info. You want to register it to have the warranty. I can't believe this is one Listia. If you have enough you should do GIN. The GIN is a fair amount. Good luck I wish I had enough credits to do GIN. I still miss my GHD. I love Sultra and have never had any problems with it. Oh and my GHD cord was one that swirled and I think that is why I had problems and this one isn't so you should be fine on that. Even when the wiring went bad on mine it still worked it would just shut off and I would have to turn it back on. I have heard that since that happend to me GHD fixed that problem. This was almost 3 years ago. I am just being honest but really my point is that this is one of the best hair straighteners you can buy and if you need one and have the credits don't pass this one up. Indeed it is! But, because it's used I can't over inflate the GIN...I know retail is much more! Maybe if it goes over the GIN I will add some other goodies!?

Great auction...does it not heat to atleast 450° ?? Almost all flat irons do. And what size is it ?? 1" or 3/4 or 1/2 inch plates. ??

I just read in the instruction manual which is english (Celsius) so I'm sure it's about that temp. The plates are 1".

It adjusts from person to person, in the range of 175-185 degrees Celsius. Basically you turn it on, it heats up, and then senses when you start to use it.
