would this ps1 gameshark work on a ps2 console for ps1 games? i dont own a ps1 anymore but i was hoping that a ps2 would still work with the disk, if not its not that big of a deal i just wanted to find out.

if you bought a ps2 gameshark new it came with a ps1 disc but if you only have ps1 gameshark and memory card then you can use it in the ps2 but only with ps1 games so yes you can play ps1 games in the ps2 but you will also have to save ps1 games with a ps1 memory card

basically blue its a cheat disk, if you never used one its basical adding items, stats cheats for games to help you win or make it easier. (collector, no worries sorry for being impatient! just got a ton of rpg ps1 games that i would love to use this disk on)

Sorry, I don't know much about this. I got it to run after switching disks, but didn't know the save could only happen in the GS memory card.

NO, you need a PS1 memory card to use the gameshark.

The gameshark memory card is not needed, it's just a ps1 memory card shaped like a gameshark logo that's all.

No, from what I've found this is good for you. You don't need the Gameshark Memory card with this version. Unless I searched wrong. I'm learning new things everyday about Gamesharks since listing this auction.

yeah no probelm, i know the ps2 gameshark and maxreply more then anything the ps1 im not too familar with. but its ok, hopefully it will work, ive got a ton of games ive never beat game or storywise that are ps1 games so i was hoping to get GS for it to see. anyhow thanks for the hard work of finding out info
