In order to have better results with this auction, please add more details regarding your item. Your auction is missing a description or picture. These two things will go a long way in instilling confidence in potential bidders. We also highly recommend that you include pictures of the actual item that is being auctioned, (not just use stock photos from the manufacturer). It is properly called a "Ball Starter". the small protrusion is used to start the ball in a muzzle loading rifle. once started you push the ball into the barrel with the rod attached to it to a depth of about 6 inches. this allows you to use the ram rod with the gun to push the ball down the barrel to the fully seated position without breaking your ramrod.
