This auction is for a 2 year old upgraded Acer Aspire 5315. Very clean 15" screen! Intel Celeron 1.73 GHz processor and 32 bit Operating System.I have upgraded this laptop to Windows 7, 2gb of RAM and a 160gb hard drive. It runs great and fast! There are two issues with this unit. The "s" and "g" keys do not work but I used either a wireless keyboard or the onscreen keyboard to deal with the issue which you can continue to do or you can replace the keyboard for around $25. The other issue is that the battery only holds a charge for around 45 mins. A new one costs about $35. This DOES come with a charger and has wifi. It DOES NOT have a webcam.

I don't know what it is about Acer Aspires, but everybody I know that has one, that's only about people, plus I have one I don't use. But they all have problems with them s, g, and h. Everyone of them. I hate waiting 18 days, and Big Glen is probably going to beat me out. Well, Good Luck and tell your pal Genie Jin I think he might be evil with his Wiccan ways. Weirdy keyboards are the only issue I ever hear of Acers having issues with. For a lower priced machine they are pretty good little workhorses otherwise. In reference to Genie Jin he wrote that on my auction and another sellers auction because we wrote on his Ipad Mini auction that we felt it was greedy to have a starting bid just several credits short of 400,000 on an item that you can presently buy at Walmart for $299. I believe everyone should get what their item is worth and if you come out a little flush good for you but to charge the equivalent of close to $1000 makes you a bit of a shyster from where I'm standing. He hid my comment and several others and commented he would send us a free one I guess in an attempt to make himself look good.When I inquired about when I should expect it to arrive and posted a link to Walmart's iPad Mini page he came over here and left that comment. I do make a practice of commenting negatively on other seller's auctions but honestly I was just astounded by the utter greed. Thanks for your comment and kind words!

I use an Acer Aspire 5315-2698 and not only is the keyboard still working great, but with some upgrades & Win8 it still is a good machine. Too bad there isn't a way to upgrade the onboard video. What is the sub-model on this one? Should be the 2nd set of 4 digit numbers after the series number.

laptop models are hit or miss, they make two of each of most models:

1. the low end model that they sell in walmart for 200-300 bucks

2. the model that has all the bells and whistles and support

there both the same model, but one has more process put into it, and the walmart special is a thrown together and put out for mass production.

FYI: I ONLY USE HP PRODUCTS FOR PERSONAL USE, MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE, PEOPLE GO WITH WHAT WORKS FOR THEM.

And the g,s or whatever buttons that are not working is a driver issue, a very simple fix. i deal with the issue at least once a month for customers with acers, if anyone neeeds help with the problem after they win this let me know and i'll shoot you the " know how".
