The listing, Red Russian Kale, Heirloom variety, MOFGA certified ORGANIC, 12 seeds has ended.

Red Russian Kale (60 days) BRASSICA napus (pabularia group) Open-pollinated, packed for 2013, originally purchased from Fedco Seeds-this is my excess supply.

Oakleaf type, colors purple after frost, leaves will change to dark green if cooked. Known for unbeatable tenderness and flavor, 2-3 foot tall plants are suitable for edible landscaping.

A true heirloom crop, this variety was "called Buda Kale by Fearing Burr in 1863, Ragged Jack by Vilmorin-Andrieux in 1885, and Communist Kale in 2006 by workers at Darthia Farm in Gouldsboro, ME. Russian traders brought this Siberian heirloom to Canada in the 19th century." (Quoted from Fedco catalog)

Yes, they are CERTIFIED ORGANIC by MOFGA-Maine Organic Farmers&Gardeners Association. The auction is for 12 seeds; it is an open-pollinated variety, which means that you can save seed from your plants for next year. Happy Bidding! I fanned you, too :)
