When the phone is on it operates fine until the battery dies. Then you have to charge just the battery alone.

Step 1 on ehow states you must plug into your pc the first time to change sync setting to wifi. I'm going to venture to guess no.

I have an iphone 4 as well. I popped the battery in my phone, charged it to 100%, then popped back in the no sync/no charge iphone listed.
