Description

The listing, >==Vivitar 80-200mm 1.45 auto zoom lens Canon FD-mount==< has ended.

This is a Vivitar 80-200mm 1.45 auto zoom lens Canon FD mount lens. I don't know much about lenses, and I'm not sure about the aperture blades. I turn the ring and it appears to be stuck in the open position. But, the aperture mechanism on an FD lenses is only activated when it is connected to the camera, if I understand correctly, and depending on the camera, will only noticeably close when the stop-down lever is pressed. So it might be nothing. It focuses fine and the image the the viewfinder is crisp and clear. The problem might be oil contamination on the blades, keeping them stuck in the open position which would require major disassembly to clean. A job I wouldn't attempt,....maybe.

However the lens itself is beautiful as you can see in the photos. The lens is scratch and fungus free. It is in very good to excellent cosmetic shape.

The focusing ring is nice and tight. Lens filter is 55mm. This lens will also work on non-FD-mount film and DSLR cameras with the right adapter. Comes with caps for both ends.

Please make sure that this is what you want before bidding, and do your research. Also, the lens is pretty hefty so the PO charges more.

Unfortunately, no. I don't even think there are adapters available that would make it possible based on what I have read on it. Thanks for asking.

Thank you for asking. Sorry to report that it is not compatible with Canon Rebel EOS. I just checked for myself on a Canon Rebel EOS K2. The Canon that you see in the main picture where I have it mounted on is a T50.
