I bought this to try on my Border Collie mix but her fur is just to thick and wavy for it to help out with her. I try using it twice and gave up and went back to using a brush.So it is still like new. This is made for a shorter haired pet. So since it didn't work out with using it on her I thought I would share it. It is battery operated and takes 3 AA batteries (not included). This is meant to help get to the under coat to help with removing it when your pet sheds. I hope that someone else can get some use out of it. It comes in the original package with all instructions.
