Description

The listing, Rare Heirloom Tomato ✽ DAGMAS PERFECTION ✽ 15 Seeds ✽ Organic has ended.

Dagma's Perfection was a perfect name for a perfect beefsteak-type bi-color tomato. Vigorous plants prodiced a great number of fruits all summer long. Some had interesting cat-face shapes on the bottom of the tomato, but did not hurt the quality. Deliciously flavorful with overtones of tropical fruit and subtle hints of lime. Pale yellow fruits ripen with blush pink stripes. They are a beautiful addition to salads, but perfect enough for eating fresh off the vine. Very Rare!

Days: 73
Size: indeterminate
Season: mid-season
Color: bi-color
Type: OP Heirloom
Uses: slicing, salads, fresh eating

This Auction: You will be receiving 15 seeds from my garden. They will be sent First Class mail. I only take Paypal for International bidders, I do combine any additional auction seeds (within 5 days) for no additional shipping charge. I am happy to say that my seeds tested 99-100% germination within 2 weeks at a temp of 70°F in the spring of 2012. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot and thin to one plant per container. After four weeks, transplant seedlings to larger pots, and about 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny, highly composted location when soil temperatures are at least 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Stake or cage the plants for support and to prevent sprawling on the ground.

I pride myself on the organization and impeccable care I take with my seeds. I wish that I could say that about the rest of my life. O'well. I still have more & some cool varieties. If you have not won the Dagma's Perfection, I suggest that you do. This and the Virginia Sweet are my favorite tomatoes so far, I think. Gosh, I say that about so many. I have many different favorites for different reasons. Those 2 would be my favorite beefsteak type. I also have favorite cherry tomatoes, orange paste tomatoes, red paste tomatoes, early red tomatoes, currant tomatoes. OK, I'm turning into a tomato hoarder. I've figured out my problem, so what is the solution? A little salt and balsamic vinegar will do. LOL
