I don't believe so. Avon pipes were used only for colognes, they are not capable of being used as pipes. My friend has several of them.

Can you show the box please? I don't think avon (california perfume company) made Tobacco smoking pipes. Is it wood ? more info. Looks like a pipe but Avon does many reproduction type pieces they mass produce and sell as "collectibles?"

It is glass... Yes its made from Avon company in New York, NY. I didn't know exactly what to put it under thank you very much! It may not be a collectible to you. If you don't like what it is or what i wrote or what i put it under then don't bid and stop watching it.

Avon was founded in 1886, folks. That is almost 20 years after the Civil War ended.

The box says.... COLLECTORS PIPE
The one of kind original pipe, that inspired the designer of our Avon decanter, belongs to a well-known collector of military and American antiques. The pipe, which is believed to have been carved by a Union soldier in the 1860's may be a self-portrait, but it bears no identification. The folk art of carving pipes, from tree roots or branches was popular during the Civil War, but died quickly after the war ended. Sorry if I mis-spoke Thank you..
