Description

A middle-aged crime boss smugly reflects back from 1999, narrating the brutality which made him triumphant - and feared. As an unnamed young hood in Swinging 60's London, he aped his mod boss Freddie Mays, and seemed to do anything for him. But his narration exposes all-consuming envy: of Freddie's supremacy, and especially his tall bird. The baby shark develops his viciousness and backstabbing, scheming to be Gangster No. 1. best description i have is right under the the movie. i get all my descriptions from imbd cause they are usually right on point. they actually describe a little better than what is on the back of the movie. back if sleeve says: paul bettany (star of movie) "gives a brilliantly eerie, star-making performance" [american film institute] as a ruthless mobster that thugs, claws and kills his way to the top. but when he learns that the former mentor [thewlis, another actor] he put in prison is about to get , this self-made monster must not only face a man whose life he ruined...but the twisted remnants of his own demented conscience as well. i personally thought the movie was great but is definitely for people that like english style movies.
per back of dvd: the hollywood reporter says "fascinating" the los angeles times says "sensational" i don't care what media or critics say about a movie personally, but some do. so there you go. between the two descriptions i hope i answered any questions
