This purse is made from a genuine alligator snapping turtle shell and buckskin. It is all hand drilled and sewn with bone bead accents.

Yes maam I did make this. I have made them for years. I carried the first one I ever made for 15 years. I had to stop carrying it when I wore the strap to thin.

Yes it is great for a possible bag. It is all hand done by me. I am Lipan Apache ant I try very hard to keep things more traditional when I make them.

I do have some stock of turtle shells and will be making more. They may not have buckskin but suede instead. I am always changing things. The next one I was going to make royal blue with no fringe. ;).

I'm afraid I don't have enough credits to continue bidding I also would like to know if you could take orders, I would love a similar looking bag, it wouldn't have to have the turtle shell, just buckskin with bone accents would be great, please let me know if this would be possible. I do make them but would have to check my stock of buckskin. If you send me an approximate shape, size, and the length you want it to hang I can see what I can do.

I would like a rounded shape 3ft to bottom of fringe, 20" to top of purse, 1ft wide. I like the bone accents on the flap, possibly a few turquoise beads on fringe, no turtle shell, I love the color of the one pictured in your auction, please let me know what you can do. Thank you, Dolly

The turtles are farm raised in Louisiana for food.
