Please~READ ENTIRE AUCTION BILL: Vintage Choker Style Glass Necklace with matching Earrings. I just bought a auction lot and this was my favorite set. The lot traveled 80 miles in a truck to my town and my other lot of heavy goods was stacked on top the jewelry. The sad news is that the earrings have some damage. Some of the little spacer beads which are possibly ceramic or? got cracked. The spacers are tiny and delicate and there is 4 cracked on one earring and three on the other. This is actually not very noticeable unless you are inches from them but once you know - well you know. Again all the beads are glass in black and pale blue / green. It is so unfortunate about the earrings but complaining did no good. Earrings are not signed but an obvious set to the choker signed West Germany I absolutely love the style of this set. If you can overlook the tragedy of the earrings I know you will get the compliments- its really atomic awesome!
It is very beautiful . . . I haven't see these colors put together before. The little cracks are no big deal in the earrings . . . I don't really notice them. Besides, at my age I have a few cracks here and there as well!
I learned such a valuable lesson from my older sister. A few years ago she had breast cancer and it had to be removed. They did reconstructive surgery, but her veins were so small the new breast literally died and had to be removed as well. Her sister in law had a vintage turquoise ring that my sister fell in love with. One day her sister in law told her she didn't want the ring anymore because it had a crack in the stone and she was going to throw it away. My sister immediately asked if she could have it. Her sister in law at first said, "No. I don't want to give you something that has a crack running through it. Why would you want it?" My sister very quietly told her, "It is still very beautiful. It's just flawed, like me."
