thanks Mike. Out of curiosity do you have any idea what Scott catologue value would be? I don't have a specialized catalogue. Tim

I wish I had a specialized catalogue! I only have the USPS catalogue and it doesn't list them! I looked on ebay...but they only have the War Bond books with stamps listed in them! Wish I knew more too! Maybe someone will give us the info on them! Your friend, China Mike

WS7-10: VF, Unused, Perf 11x10 1/2, Rotary Press,1942 (Dealer Selling Prices): 10¢ rose red –$ 0.50; 25¢ dark green blue – $1.10; 50¢ deep ultra – $4.00; $1 gray black – 12.50. (50-65 % of that is more typical, I'd suggest.)

My mother said when they (siblings) were young my grandfather took them to a bank and they cashed there stamps in and bought a house with the money from this type of stamps, she believes the yr. was 1944 when they did this.

Recap....These stamps were put into booklets, when filled you could cash them in at banks, the yr. they cash theres in was 1945 and used the money to buy a house out right, not bad for helping with the war effort.
