Description

The listing, Mimosa Tree Seedling!! Great for attracting Hummingbirds!! has ended.

much larger than the first picture. about a foot high now. will add a new picture tomorrow. about 3 feet tall. very hardy.

n China some believe that the Mimosa (Albizia julibrissin) will calm the mind and spirit. Step out to your yard, relax and this unique and appealing deciduous tree will confirm that. Often grown as an ornamental for its unique and beautiful features, the Mimosa generally grows 20-25 feet in height. Also called a Silk Tree or Persian Silk Tree, it will provide you with a rounded, expansive crown for shade within only 3-5 years.

The Mimosa is a fast-growing, unique and beautiful landscape tree that will grow in almost any conditions.

At night, or when it rains, your Mimosa will put on a miraculous demonstration that lives up to its Persian name Shabkhosb (meaning “night sleeper”), as they bow gracefully downward.

it'll be an inch thick and up to 6 feet at a year with proper water fertilizer, sun. 12ft feet between 2 and 3. it all depends on whether you prune for shade tree or ornamental.

What planting zone can they grow in? Would they survive Wisconsin cold winters?

it says 6-9. I have heard of much colder zones though. Depends on if you have a covered porch type area it could go in winter??

I so love these trees. Fell in love with them several years ago when we lived in a duplex. It was huge, taller than the 2-story we lived in. Every June when the blossoms appeared, so did the song birds & hummingbirds. The landlord decided to cut it down when they worked on the windows, but left a 2 ft stump. The next year, it had branches coming out. 2 yrs later it was like a beautiful 6' bush. They are amazing.

thanks for the description. always helps when people who have seen how fast they grow and how beautiful they are tell their stories. :)
