A beautiful member of the Papaver Somniferum family, Drama Queen lives up to its name with a fantastic flower of decadently colored petals. Large flowers up to four inches across include two clashing colors, that of crimson and indigo. A flamboyant and show stopping individual, Drama Queen’s petals are showcased even more by the pale green pollen center, making it a fantastic poppy variety to include in any collection.
Growing up to three feet tall, Drama Queen is a sturdy Breadseed poppy variety which will have prolonged flowering as long as faded blooms are removed. Also known as the Florist Poppy, Papaver Somniferum’s produce a fantastic seed head once the petals have dropped. An ideal flower arranging tool, these heads can also be left on plants through the winter, catching snow, frosts and dew on their sculptural shapes.
Very easy to grow, Drama Queen is an annual variety of poppy which will flower and seed itself well.
