Description

The listing, Vintage 1950's Freemason tie clip by Anson has ended.

Up for auction is a vintage 1950's Masonic tie clip made by Anson. It is a gold colored clip with a hanging square and compass with "G" in the center.

The "G" is ONLY used in the center of the Square and Compass in Canada, United States and Mexico. No other country in the world has a "G" in the center. during the late 1800's and early 1900's, the "G" was used in many Masonic Lodges in the U.S. and was sometimes portrayed as "God" and sometimes still is. The real meaning is Geometry as a reference to the Great Architect of The Universe (which could be God, Buddha, Allah or whatever your name for a Supreme Being is [excluding Satan, Satanists are NOT allowed in Masonic Lodges].)

As always, free shipping!! Good luck and thanks for stopping by. Reasonable GIN offers considered just email me!

i had one of these and i contacted a mason group and they gave me a nice sum of money for it and you might not realise it but it is illegal to sell some mason things

Yes these vintage clips are worth a few bucks and the legality of selling masonic items has nothing to do with personally owned items just lodge owned regalia. Most regalia is owned by the lodge. These items may include:

Candidates clothing
Officer aprons
Tiler's sword
Masonic Costumes worn during the 3rd degree
Masonic Hoodwink
Rods, (some call them Staffs) and Rod Tops
Warden's Columns
The 3 Lesser Lights
The Bible (or Holy Book of Scriptures)
The Master's gavel
Each Officers' Jewels of office, including chain and velvet collars
The lodge's Masonic funeral aprons

I might bid just because I'm satanic and I feel a contradiction coming on.
