Thanks, Fanned you back! They mostly bloom when the sun isn't out hence the name "moonplant" They do bloom during the day but mostly after the sun goes away, Hope that helps and answers your question.

Is this plant poisonous it animals?

I am not sure, I have not had issues with animals eating the plant. From what I have read if the seeds are consumed they will give your pets/animals an upset stomach.

yes kathy all parts of the plant are highly toxic. especially the seeds.
