Yes, any guitar with a quarter inch jack will work with this game. Electric or acoustic, as long as it has a pick up and a 1/4 in jack.

Guitar is not included. I would try amazon or guitar center. Maybe music go round if you have one in your area, they sell used guitars for cheap. Amazon is also good for generic brand electrics for under $100.

Rosemonkey. Id suggest getting a dean. You can get a some very very ncie dave mustaine signature dean guitars for 300-500 bucks and they are very comforble guitars to. Dean gutiars also has a very long warranty. it has several years of manufactures warranty and also dean guitar warranty, I had a dave mustaine united abominations guitar (300) bucks, however the wiring became unsolderd from the input jack on the guitar, so I emailed dean guitars and they were very nice and allowed me to just exchange it for a dave mustaine angel of deth 2 guitar which is a 500 dollar one. So knowing that you could say that Dean has very good customer service. So rose if you get a guitar Id defiantly go for a Dean guitar.
