There's a port for a USB 1.0 cable on the side, but I don't think I have one of those to test it out.

It does fit, but the plastic shell wasn't designed for a DS it and prevents really good contact from being made. I've heard of people using these successfully in DS systems by filing the plastic on the AR down a bit, but this one has been unmodified and probably will not fit properly in your DS lite.
