one is a seagate the other is a WD Caviar. both 80 gig for a total of 160gb. Both were just pulled when I upgraded to a 1tb sata drive. They are both rdy to be used. they look a little rough but both are in great shape. :)

i don't know about laptops. but it supports both ide and sata. You can have up to 6 drives attached. The two drives that come with it are IDE.

It was a sata system. which is why it had 2 of the IDE drives. I didn't have an external enclosure to get the data off of the drives. :)

yup! the raid driver was recognized by Win7 and it guides you through the install process at your next start up. Yes, the drives look in rough shape but are fully working. Just the largest backup drives i had at one point to put together. They were actually run on a RAID with 2 sata's also.

I think this card supports up to 6 drives though.
