They actually are intact. A couple are a little rough as you can see in the pics. For decorative items they are good. I wouldn't use them on anything you would hav to wash. They are very old. Thank you for asking :)

I once bought a jar of old buttons at an auction. When I opened them 7 or 8 disintigrated instantly when the air touched them! Watching. Can't fan as I have reached my limit. Ridiculous, isn't it ?
