The listing, ~?? Mystery Coin/Token ??~ has ended.
I have no idea what this is, nor do I remember where it came from. I've had it for many years and just came across it while packing for a move. It's the size of a quarter and appears to be copper, but I can't state that with any authority.
The obverse has a pine tree in a circle. The words "SAFETY BUCK" are printed above it, and 7 stars below.
The reverse has "SAFETY BUCK" in the center, surrounded by 12 stars. Tiny letters HM below the writing.
My guess is that it was handed out to employees who had a good safety record (Perhaps the lumber industry, hence the tree?) Then maybe they could use them to make purchases at the company store? Pure conjecture on my part, maybe someone out there can enlighten me?
~I am happy to do a GIN on most any of my auctions. Let’s make a deal!
