Description

The listing, (25) Hummingbird Vine Seeds has ended.

These were growing in my neighbor's yard and are SO beautiful I couldn't resist stopping and asking about them! The little star-shaped flowers are bright red and DO attract lots of hummingbirds, and even the little delicated frilled leaves are pretty.

The ones that caught my eye were growing along the fence in front of her yard (those are the first three pictures), then she took me around to the side yard to show me where they had taken over one of her shrubs (the last two pictures) and they were absolutely amazing to see in person!

She said that (like morning glory flowers) there's no way to gather ALL the seeds, so they keep coming back every year from the seeds she missed gathering. The she insisted on giving me a little baggie of seeds she'd already collected, but I have NO place in my yard to grow vines, so I can't really plant them. I thanked her repeatedly and now I'm sharing them with you!

You get 25 seeds in a little plastic baggie, and if you gather the seeds from these next year, you should have a lifetime supply and plenty to share, too!

Seeds (in their little baggie) will be cleverly hidden in a greeting card and are ready to mail as soon as the auction ends - all I need is your mailing address.

FREE shipping, anywhere in U.S.

Thanks for looking, and check out my other auctions, too!

Hi, I grow these little beauties every year. They are named, "Cypress Vines". Usually, IF you get ONLY reds, They have a slightly different leaf size than the "MIXED" Variety. But ALL look similar. There are also Pinks and Whites available. They are ALL very enchanting. Very high fertility, almost ALL seeds will sprout. Will grow 6'-20' if trained on a fence, tree, or the like.

I will continue to list them weekly until I run out of seeds (I know my original plants are older and will come back from the bulbs they have grown into, so I don't need NEW seeds for them) - lol! ;)

They are also known as Ipomoea quamoclit. They germinate more readily if soaked in water for 24 hours before planting.
