This is a wonderful collectible item, from several different viewpoints.

This is an "Official First Day of Issue" for "the 32-cent stamp marking the 75th anniversary of the landmark Nineteenth Amendment was designed by April Greiman of Los Angeles, California".

The official 32-cent stamp is on the official first day of issue envelope, and is postmarked August 26, 1995 in Washington, D.C. and the postmark itself says "first day of issue". The envelope with stamp is mounted onto a punched official catalog page with all the details you could want about the history of the women's suffrage movement, and some information about the stamp. The envelope is addressed to me (at my address back in 1995).

I wish I could say it is in perfect condition (and it should be since I just found it in the back of an old desk drawer where it's probably sat for 15 years), but unfortunately, there is a brown stain on the left side of the envelope. I have no idea what it is, or how long it's been there, but was afraid to try to get it out myself (some things are better left to experts!).
