Description

The listing, Cars that Built GM, published 1954, commemorative brochure for 50 millionth GM car built has ended.

Here is a two-fold vintage item: Published in 1954 by General Motors ( first bit of vintage), this is a pictorial look-back at historic vehicles from the early 1900s (second degree of vintage).

This 22-page large color book was put out to commemorate the 50 millionth vehicle produced by GM in 1954, so the booklet in and of itself is more than 50 years old.

Featured throughout the pages are color representations of a variety of classic cars: The 1903 "Curved-Dash" Oldsmobile, the 1905 Buick Model "C", the 1906 Cadillac Model "M", the 1913 Chevrolet "Baby Grand", and more.

Booklet measures 8-1/2 inches tall by 11 inches wide. The cover shows some fading and mild wear, with some mild creasing in the lower right corner. Inside pages show mild yellowing, but it's difficult to tell how much as they were printed on off-white heavy stock paper. While hardly mint, this booklet is in good shape given its age, and given this was likely a rack item.
